Top 10 Indica Strains of 2024

2024 was a big year for Mephisto Genetics. We launched a bunch of amazing new strains, re-released some crowd favorites, and even brought home some trophies to add to the shelf. Most importantly, we further optimized our website and library to help give you the most intuitive experience possible when grabbing your favorite Mephisto Genetics strains. That's exactly why we are here today, to reveal YOUR top 10 favorite Mephisto strains of 2024, starting with our Indicas. Based on number of packs sold, this list represents the Indica dominant strains in our library that you gravitated towards the most. Some of these were launched this year, others are classics and have been around for a while. Let’s dive right in!

Double Grape

Sitting at the top of the podium as the overall winner between both Indica and Sativa categories, Double Grape remains the undisputed champion. This powerhouse cross between Sour Stomper and Grape Crinkle is a quintessential success story. Beginning as an Illuminatuto before being re-released as a Reserva, this strain quickly rose in popularity for its absolutely insane frost and high cannabinoid ratios. COAs for this have come back over 30%, making this one of our our strongest in the entire collection. You absolutely must try this strain, its a perfect representation of what we love about the power and beauty of autoflowers. 

24 Carat

At 4th overall and 2nd on the Indica list, 24K represents the timeless love that meph-heads share for the oldest strain in our Originals collection. Not only is 24K the first Mephisto project completed, but it is also our only 100% Indica, the most Afghan-derived we have. Utilizing Sour Boggle from BOG Seeds (RIP to a legend!), and hit to an auto purple Indica, 24K delights with deep notes of oak, coffee, incense, and a slight bubblegum gassy sweetness on the finish. Nothing puts you to sleep quite like a sesh with this Indica powerhouse. If you want an insomnia buster, this one is the one for you. 

Creme de la Chem

Our first Artisanal on the Indica side of the list, CDLC (perhaps our most popular acronym behind SODK) speaks for herself. With one of the most unique caches of some of the wildest flavor profiles on our menu, this Chemdog remix remains a highly sought-after varietal for out-of-the-box flavor seekers. You get gas, you get spice, you get earth, you get funk. Sometimes there's incense. It's fantastic. It’s hearty, super easy to grow, and dumps resinous buds like nobody’s business. If you want an easy-to-grow, medium-sized nugget dumper with a wild array of flavors, jump on CDLC. 

Mephisto's Wedding

If you are a fan of Wedding Cake, you’ve got to try this one. Taking Seed Junky’s original Cake and laying it into Double Grape before hitting it to the CDLC, Mephisto’s Wedding combines the best of all 3. You get that delicious buttery kush profile layered into beautifully dense buds that are as frosty as Double Grape can get, and then framed up on a stocky and hearty plant which colors out like you’ve never seen before. We’re talking purples, blues, & pinks. This strain is so good, we’ve got it lined up to submit to the American Autoflower cup in 2025. 

Ravenberry

Re-released earlier this year for the first time ever in the US, Ravenberry is another example of a cross that got so popular that it grew wings and took off. Its no surprise that a Jammy Dodgers/CDLC cross would produce winners. As you can see from this list, CDLC plays well with others. Ravenberry also stays pretty squat, giving growers with spacial restrictions another banger to pack in there. You get great frost, delicious deep berry and earthy notes with candy and gas flavors sprinkled in. Its relaxing, but can also be used for general recreation as its not bound to knock you out. 

3 Bears OG

Without a doubt, the most sought after OG on our menu, the 3 Bears really does encapsulate everything we love about the classic California pedigree varietal. Utilizing Karma Genetics’ Bear OG and hitting it to Triangle F3, this one has been worked 6 generations to produce a sweet, gassy, funky kush that checks every box. Its hearty, grows massive if given the space, and drops golf balls dripping in diamonds and reeking of funk and gas. If you get lucky, this strain throws out a relatively common Watermelon Gasoline phenotype that may be the most delicious candy/gas flavor combo we have on the whole menu!

Appletizer

This one has quickly secured its place on the OG podium with a wildly popular release. Our community of esteemed testers, who spend months gathering data points on our new releases, absolutely raved about this Samsquanch OG/Glitter Apples cross. This is a perfect example of a strain meeting the expectations of it’s name. Flavors for the Appletizer remain consistently sour apple with a nose searing gas finish. This one even has a purple phenotype hanging around in there which also gives a delicious gas nose. This was our last drop of the year and our freshest artisanal on the menu. 

4 Assed Monkey

4AM is our take on Gorilla Glue, which would make sense to see it on our  top 10 list. To the washers in the crowd, this is a strain you’ll want to start with. Thats right, this one DUMPS! Combining the GG4 with Grape Crinkle created a literal frost monster. You’ll also find a bouquet of astringent chemical and adhesive notes in the profiles available with this variety. If you like a sour and spicy mixup with unhinged levels of frost and a practically guaranteed washer, this is the one my friends. 

Iced N’ Baked

What do you get when you take our #4 top selling Indica of the Year and mix it with the most infamous strain of all time? You get Iced N Baked, our first drop in a collection of Gelato concoctions we have been working on. Released in 2023, this delicious confectionary creation takes Gelato #41 (The Bacio cut), and crosses it with Mephisto’s Wedding. The result is a varietal that produces big beautiful frosty plants chalked full of sweet creamy and gassy flavors. Think ice cream cake, this is more or less our rendition of a similar profile to that. Its both sweet and funky while giving you deeply relaxing Indica dominant effects that have the legs to last hours. 

Strawberry Nuggets

What would a top Mephisto Indica list be without Strawberry Nuggets? Like 24K, this one is so infamous for its heavy-leaning (80/20) sedative profile. For this one, we took another legendary BOG selection, Sour Strawberry Kush, and bred it with 24K, giving it as much Indica influence as we could. For those that want deeply relaxing sedative effects out of a more compact varietal with slightly sweeter overtones, Strawberry Nuggets is the perfect pic.
